Earth's orbit around the Sun

A note on adding these speeds

Later in this journey we'll show a total combined velocity that sums up Earth's rotation, its orbit around the Sun, the Sun's path through the Milky Way, and the galaxy's motion through the universe. That total is useful for a sense of scale, but keep in mind: these motions all point in different directions, so they can't strictly be added like numbers on a line. The real combined velocity depends on where each vector points at any given moment — the sum here is an upper-bound "if everything lined up" figure.
